Homestead National Monument of AmericaHeritage Byway Highway 136 winds through an area of Nebraska where the historical significance is undeniable. It is steeped in history from Civil War Battles on the eastern end to religious shrines on the west.

There are restored buildings, a riverboat, community theatres, plenty of antiques and wonderful shopping along the way. You will find captivating museums, vintage hotels, and historical churches.
